Tips on how to prepare a site for an inflatable water slide

Summer is here which means it is time for splishing and splashing in those blow up water slides. It’s a great way to make sure the kids get some sun and time away from the screens.

As an inflatable rental business owner, it is the starting of the peak of the season which brings in the most money. It is crucial you be prepared for work. The most basic part is getting the site ready for an inflatable water slide. There are a few important things that go into setting up the unit.

It is vital to maintain professionalism even though setting up the unit gets hectic given that it is surrounded with brimming excitement from the children. Also remember, safety of the client must be the priority.

Here are three important things to keep in mind when getting a site ready for a water slide inflatable.

1.Remain on level ground
The first thing that must be done when you arrive at the event site is deciding the place where the unit can be anchored. Areas that are free of obstructions and are levelled make for an excellent choice. See if there are any holes that need patting down. This must be done before the inflatable is blown up.

If the place of choice is a driveway or any other surface made of concrete, make sure it is cleaned of protrusions that have the capability to damage the product. It will also have to be ensured there is no debris  in the area that could fly up and hurt a child in the unit or damage the unit itself.

2.Ensure access to water and electricity
You will need electricity all through the event. Especially for inflating the unit (because it is impractical to try and blow up a large inflatable water slide with a manual blower). It would be preferable not having to share it with other vendors. If that is the case, make sure the voltage is high enough to handle more than one operation at a time.

It is obvious the water slide will need a lot of water. It must be made sure there is easy access to water where you decide to place the unit.

3.Think the event through
There is a possibility that the area where you decide to set up the inflatable might look good at first but turn out to be a bad choice as the event progresses. As far as possible, direct sunlight must be avoided as must those areas where cars might move.

In case the decided area of set up is a parking lot, ensure the place is cleared and blocked off through the entire event. Try to find an area that is either partially or entirely in shade. This way you can make sure the children remain cool all day and the sun doesn’t fade the colours of the unit.

Carefully considering the above mentioned factors ascertain the unit is set up properly and the clients are happy with your services.
